Grateful for a Hot Shower

I am grateful for a hot shower, the ability to cleanse my body at a gratifying temperature, soothe, and relax. I am thankful that I have access to both clean water and water whose temperature can be controlled.

It is a fact that filth, poor hygiene, and illness connected to these two factors simply have been eliminated from my realm of possibilities. I will likely never be dirty or think of myself as such. I will always maintain the dignity and self-preservation of cleanliness.

I live in a time and society with commercial plumbing, sewage, sanitation, and water treatment. I live with industrial water heaters. I live with hot showers on demand. I live with cleanliness on demand. I live with comfort on demand.

I am grateful for a hot shower.
