Grateful for Affection

I am grateful for affection, for actions that demonstrate I am loved. I am thankful for every act of service, from the smallest physical touch to the sacrifice of one’s time. In a perhaps disinterested world, I am happy to know that someone has a vested interest in me, that someone is thinking about me. I find solace in knowing that I am not alone. I cherish every hug and kiss, knowing that these are voluntary decisions to show me I matter. I hope I may reciprocate this care, in equal if not in greater intensity, because this person matters much to me too.
