Grateful for Leisure

I am grateful for leisure, that I have the luxury of recreation, in the truest sense of the word. Recreation, re-creation, to create again, to make anew. Whether I spend leisure time frolicking idly or grinding fiercely, recreation prepares me for the next day, the next battle life will inevitably thrust upon me. I am grateful for the easy leisure: weekends, sleeping in and waking late mornings, lazy days, and the time with good relationships. I am also grateful for the hard leisure: the workouts, the early mornings and late nights to focus on passion work, and the time with tough relationships. I make myself again with leisure, a reset to rejuvenate and refresh my body and mind.

I grateful to consider leisure an option at all. What do I know about working all day and night just to have enough to eat? Yes, I’ve worked hard. No, I was not the only variable. Nevertheless, I have the fortune of “free time”. However, I must not forget that time is never free. This time is for recreation, to make myself anew, to make me better than I was yesterday.

I am grateful for leisure.
