Grateful for My Friend

To my friend VS, one of the most outstanding friends in my life.

I am grateful for my friend. I am thankful for his passion, compassion, and patience; these qualities are lived and proven not only by his relationship with me but also with all people, including himself. His presence is uplifting, and his charisma beams. He has taught me how to live with love and grace, with a smile both on my face and heart. His unconditional dedication to his relationships and his contagious energy perhaps are the best social medicines I have ever witnessed. By sheer example, he has shown me what the standard is for friendship, a role model for brotherhood, amity, and goodwill. He has exposed the areas where I lack as a friend, peeling back the curtain I am reluctant to withdraw, facing the weaknesses I must strengthen to stand proud among his character. I am lucky to call him a friend, and even more fortunate to share a second of his time.
