Grateful for Able Legs
I am grateful for able legs, that I have mobility and can go where I need to. I am grateful that my legs are healthy; that I may walk and run with ease. With able legs, the world opens and its beaches, forests, mountains, trails, and promenades become something greater. Walking on a beach, with my feet parsing the sand with each step, as I feel the damp breeze on my face and the saltwater on my toes, the beach comes alive, made interactive because I can stroll on its shores. With able legs, it feels as if I can participate in what the world has to offer. As I walk and run, I feel more alive. I feel more human. I feel connected to myself and to the ground underneath my soles.
I am grateful for able legs.
