Grateful for a Sing-Along-Song

I am grateful for a sing-along-song, to know and shout every lyric with friends and strangers—hell, to myself too—loudly, proudly, happily, perhaps even obnoxiously in the cars, bars, clubs, and homes, while sitting, standing, dancing and prancing to the beat that vibrates our bones, rhythm that shakes our bodies, and words that open our hearts to enjoy this moment, to relish in this perfection; that happiness is but a perfect yet fleeting feeling and while it is there, the best we can do is cherish its moment and get in our fill of bliss amongst ourselves and amongst us together; that the beauty of a sing-along-song is not only that we all know the words but also that we all can share the joy together; that what we actually say compares little to how we sing united, shoulder to shoulder, windows down, hands up, hands pumping, eye to eye, with each mouth synchronized, and each mind harmonized; that solidarity is strong; that this moment is to be enjoyed by people, amongst people. We sing to this sing-along-song.

And I am grateful for a sing-along-song.
